Katoomba Dental Centre

Your First Visit

Welcome to the Katoomba, NSW dental office of Dr Philip Moss, Dr Sibel Er and Dr Elizabeth Flores Westreicher, Katoomba Dental Centre. We are committed to providing you and your family with the highest level of dental care available.

What to Bring to Your First Booking

To save time, we provide new patient forms on our website that you can download and fill out ahead of time to bring to your first appointment. If you decide to fill them out here, please plan to arrive 15 minutes early to allow enough time. If you have any medical conditions or allergies, be sure to let us know about those straightaway.

If you have had x-rays taken recently at another dental clinic, we recommend asking them to forward a copy to our office before your appointment. Or you can pick them up and bring them along with you.

Here is a list of items to bring with you:

  • Medical history, including surgeries
  • Prescription list, including dosages
  • Health fund card
  • Payment for services
  • New patient forms

Examinations

At your initial examination you will be introduced to our modern approach in diagnosis. We initially take an OPG x-ray, which provides us with a flat view of your upper and lower jaw, as well as intra-oral images of your entire mouth, enabling us to walk you through every potential or current problem you have.

After your initial exam we will design a customised treatment plan for you, providing you different options of treatment and the costs associated with them. We are then at your disposal to discuss your treatment plan further and explain any of the procedures to you in detail.

Dental Cleans

Part of your oral health maintenance are your routine cleans. Our ultrasonic scaling and polishing treatment is first-rate and will remove surface stains from your teeth as well as plaque and tartar that have built up. This treatment is vital for preventing and controlling gum disease.

We might apply fluoride after your dental cleaning, which will help strengthen teeth and protect them from decay.

If we notice problem areas, we will point those out and offer instructions on how you can improve your at-home oral care routine.

We Welcome Your Questions

Please glance over our frequently-asked-questions section before you come in to see if some of your questions are answered there. If you have additional questions, we invite you to bring those along or to call us ahead of time. Thank you for choosing Katoomba Dental Centre as your dental health partner.
