Dental Emergency: What happens if my tooth cannot be saved?

Sometimes, deep tooth infections, failed root canal treatment and oral injuries mean a tooth cannot be saved with traditional treatment and crowning. However, seeing our emergency dentist at the first signs of oral health changes, such as pain, swelling and tooth injury may increase the odds for successful treatment.

For these reasons, we’re pleased to offer emergency dental care!

If We Can’t Save Your Tooth, We'll Discuss Replacement

To stabilise your bite and keep your oral function on track, the dentist will recommend replacement if your tooth can’t be saved.

For a single missing tooth, we offer:

  • Partial Dentures
  • Dental Bridges
  • A Dental Implant

For significant tooth loss, we will discuss complete dentures and implant-supported dentures in the Blue Mountains area.

First, we’ll assess you to determine candidacy because some tooth replacement options may work better for you than others. Your dentist also considers your budget and lifestyle when helping you choose.
