What sustainability measures does Katoomba Dental Centre take?

Our Katoomba dentists care about the planet and strongly emphasise community, which is why we practice sustainability whenever possible.

We have partnered with TerraCycle to help local businesses with their recycling. TerraCycle allows businesses from all locales to recycle by designating specific businesses as labelling and shipping hubs. For example, neighbourhood businesses can drop off their recycling at a select business, allowing all items to be labelled and shipped in one go or from one place. We work with businesses such as Blue Mountains Food Co-op.

Aside from supporting the efforts of others, we also practice sustainability in our Katoomba dental clinic. For example, we use digital imaging and file storage to reduce our paper footprint. Digital imaging and storage also eliminate the need for chemical developers, which can harm the environment.

Our in-house milling machine also means we can create specific restorations in our dental practice. This reduces shipping waste and fuel use.

Katoomba Dental Centre is always on the lookout for new ways we can reduce our footprint whilst providing patient-focused dental care.
